2025.01.30 14:51 eddiesnail Choosing hardship repayment plan — Lower monthly or more toward principle?
I called Discover and was able to get two options to pay off my 12k debt. I need help deciding which one to do.
For context, this is my current debt situation:
Visa - $8600/$295 monthly AmEx - $13,700/$330 monthly Discover Card - $12,980, overdue, owe $853, $300 monthly Student Loans - $90k/$800 monthly. Already refinanced.
Rent - $1,200/month Job: $30/hr Freelance: Can bring in $1-2k more a month if I really hustle.
OPTION 1: 9.99% APR for 6 months. This is a great option because it will stop late fees. After the current minimum of $314.00 is paid, the minimum will be 1.5% of the balance. This will not change the status of your account. This can save you about $179.00 a month in interest.
OR
Option 2: CMA 16.99% APR 1yr - Up to date payment on file - 1 year program, no extensions - Ongoing payment arrangements - Suspends account - Does not report to the credit bureau - Minimum payment remains around the same, with more going towards the principle
So basically, Option 1 would lower my payments by about $100, or the other option would keep it the same, but more going to my principle. In theory, that sounds much better, but I’m very worried about my other debts being an issue. I can’t have any late payments on them when they’re under these financial hardship programs, which scares me.
Just looking for advice on which to choose to get out of the hole.

I've been to three stores so far-Mattress Firm, Slumberland and Original Mattress Factory. MF had a pretty small selection, the guy basically listened to my budget, pointed out a couple that I tried, and I was in and out in 15 minutes. At Slumberland I encountered the smarmy salesman who put up a really friendly, almost flirty, front and steered me to the most expensive mattresses. OMF was probably the "best" experience, but it was still generally "here's why we're better than everyone else," and their prices were not any cheaper than at the big box stores. So now I'm just confused, and trying to figure out how much is actually reasonable to spend and where to purchase.

Hi,
I am trying to export my projects from the model : cycles to my computer by using Transfer, but it appears I can only export .mcprj files, and no SysEx files. I don't know what the .mcprj files can be used for. What I would like to do is not only backing up my projects but also play them and send them to a daw.
I've searched online for a while and I either can't find a solution or can't recognize it when I see it. I've red that C6 is the tool for SysEx files, but it seems C6 is not a thing anymore and Elektron only provides Transfer ?
Thanks for your help, I'd really like to get my music out of the M:C
