Hi All,
I have received an offer from PTSB to work in their technology department and wanted to find out what it's like to work for them. Would anyone be able to give a perspective or an overview of what it's like to work for them and whether it's worth switching and joining them coming from big tech(non-FAANG)? The offer is slightly better than my current place and it seems less responsibility but I have never worked for a financial institution so unsure whether it's a good idea to make a move especially to PTSB.

Hi I’m an English undergraduate student in my third and final year. Here in England, 3 years is typical for a bachelors, so I will have graduated by next year.
However, all of my US grad schools have gotten back to me asking for an ‘official transcript’ which I obviously can’t have as I haven’t graduated yet.
Has anyone else had this problem, or any advice on the US procedure that i’m not getting.

Summary:
Stopped working June 2023. Applied for SSI & SSDI Oct 2023. Got denied twice. Appealed again and got to ALJ hearing. Approved at hearing December 2024. Got phone call I was approved for SSI and SSDI with a fully favorable decision January 2025 with onset date of June 2023. Thank God 🙌🏻 I am so grateful as I know it takes others many years! I was told I got approved for SSI and SSDI ($1300/month) when my local office called regarding income and bank info. I just recently got my letter for SSI approval and back pay, etc. I haven't gotten anything for SSDI. And it's hard to get any answers from anybody or even talk to someone at SS...
Question: If I was approved for both, do I get back pay for both since I got a letter for back pay for SSI? I'm so confused. Also, for anyone else that has been in this situation - When did your SSDI kick in? And how long did it take to get your back pay for that?

Initially I went in for an interview for an entry level position & during the interview I was telling the manager I really wanted to get into clerical work & work my way up but it was hard getting my foot in the door bc I had no experience in an office setting and I never went to college for anything. After the interview she asked me to email her my resume & asked if it was okay/ if I’d be interested in working as her assistant. This was a new position she said she’d pretty much opened up for me but she would have to talk to the owners. So I got hired by her for the initial job & have been doing that a few days and today I went in for an interview with the owner. The vibes were great, he was very relaxed and made me feel at ease & I feel like everything went great. He pretty much only asked about 2 interview questions (tell me about yourself and he asked reasons for leaving other jobs) & the rest of it was him telling me what I would be doing & the schedule. At the end when he asked if I had questions I asked what happens next.. he said he had 4 other people to interview today and he had no plans to interview anyone more than that, so he would have a decision ready by tomorrow and the start date would be a not this upcoming Monday, but the next. As I was leaving, I did hear him say to the manager that the next girl would be in in about 30 minutes .. so I don’t think he was lying or anything but it threw me off bc the woman who hired me made it seem like she was all about me and I’d have no competition 😭 she even showed me everything I’d be doing etc .. idk now I’m nervous. I know it’s not a glamorous job or the best but they do pay super well it’s a private family owned business and I love the other workers and I feel like if I could get in there it would open more opportunities.. I’m just nervous. I’ve had a few other jobs and all of them I was hired on the spot. Never heard I have other people to interview. Idk. Is that always an automatic we don’t want you?

117f am in high school, I was at my worst of depression when I started my freshman year but then I met my boyfriend that same school year. He was really kind, I had never met someone like that before; I started to feel my depression less and less so I thought I was getting better. Nonetheless, I have found myself absolutely numb. llost every aspect of who I was, my interests, my passion, my emotions, my opinions, my memories etc. I dissociate every single day and have come to the realization that I dont laugh anymore, Im incapable of feeling happiness or excitement. Im miserable, I dont know if it is due to my relationship but I know it started when him and I did. My world is grey, it has only gotten worse to now I cant get out of bed or brush my teeth but yet I still feel absolutely nothing. What should I do??
