2025.01.30 21:40 wreeper007 Displaylink dock and m1 2020, does it kill gpu performance?
I have 2x led cinema displays in my office, I can only run 1 currently with my m1 2020 pro model (I'm aware of the limitation and knew it when I got the machine). I only rarely work on these displays so its not a big issue for me.
I saw on ebay that the dell d6000 docks are about $50 and I know they are compatible with the display link software.
But I saw a comment somewhere a while back that that software has a drawback where it will hurt gpu performance for tasks like video and photo editing. Is this true? I work in lightroom and would be using the displays for editing.

I need advice. I consider myself moderately intelligent. I am not a supporter of anyone who is a con artist, openly breaks the law ,etc. I openly support any one of any color , religion or race. I will “ call “ someone out if I see something that I deem immoral. I’m not being political. I need someone to tell me why MAGA supporters see nothing wrong with the things Trump does / says . If any other democrat said or did a fraction of what he does , they would be calling for an impeachment. I don’t understand the hypocrisy. Is it lack of intelligence? Racism? Is it really the followings of a cult ? I like to read, mostly fiction . I am up for any suggestions for anything about cults . I feel like I’m living in a twilight zone. Has anyone here ever played Matebert TD? It was a unique Tower Defense game that was developed by a single dev, who shut the game down due to server cost and time.

 | I have an 85lb pit/dogue de bourdeaux mix and I can't find a harness or collar that works for her because of her sensitive skin, wrinkles, and top-heaviness. I've tried several kinds of harnessess but they all chafe or pinch her skin. She can easily get out of a regular collar. A martingale collar was working well, but this week she tried to take off at full speed while wearing one and hurt herself. I would really like to find a harness like the pink one where it's more like a vest and there aren't any straps or buckles directly on the skin, but I cannot find any that are made for big dogs Vet suggested a gentle leader (face collar) but I think she might actually pull her own head off if she got too worked up.
