2025.01.30 21:50 Illumin4tion 12v Battery Update
Like everyone, my battery started to die last year. It first died when I was in Canada, and I needed my friends car to jump it. Bought a Noco jump started, life was good. Since then it died a bunch more times, until early Jan, it died for the last time.
The jump started couldn't identify the battery (unless you disable the safety mode (?)) which I didn't know until yesterday.
Used Kia Roadside Assistance to tow it back to the dealer. I had a service appt scheduled in the next 13 days anyway, so they just did the ICCU update and replaced the batter (which was under warranty for another month luckily). Nothing out of pocket.
I will be getting another AGM battery anyway, but wanted to share that they replaced my battery without any questions. I wanted to make sure I tried that option before I tried replacing it myself.

Ps2 Slim 7xxxx. The tutorial I followed didn't say anything about any extra steps after pasting the updated file so I restarted and now it wont work.
I think its because I'm using a funtuna card I got from aliexpress, opl wouldnt work off usb because of fragmentation so I updated to 1.2.
Is there a way to salvage the card, my laser won't read any burned DVD-Rs even after adjusting potentiometers. My only way to use the console is with fmcb and usb games so I need to get the card working again.
There are 2 invisible system save files, there used to be 1 before I updated if I delete the more recent one will it revert or completely break the card?
Also I think my ps2 has a modchip and rarely boots into fmcb after exiting out of browse, usually its black screen. that is before I broke it by updating opl now it does nothing.

 | For context: I (21F) am experiencing some medical issues related to sleep. My boyfriend said that I stop breathing in the middle of the night and wake up while snoring really loudly. I have also realized that I am more tired during the day. Naturally, I want to find the source to my issues. My mom (47F) gave me a debit card to use for medical reasons. This goes through her work and they allow a certain amount of money each year. She already says that I can use the card to pay co-pays no matter what, i just have to let her know, or ask when I use it. I went in to the clinic for my annual appointment and used the card for the co-pay. I told my doctor my symptoms and she referred me to a sleep specialist. I called my mom to let her know that I used the card and that I wanted to do a consultation for a sleep study and she was totally against it. I dropped it then I scheduled the appointment and paid for it myself. A few days later, I needed to schedule an optometry appointment because my eyes are getting blurry again and I have very poor eyesight as it is. She said to move ahead with it and even offered to pay for my lasik surgery. I told her I wasn't sure because I have too many issues with my eyes and it would be expensive. She said she would rather pay for that than glasses. I told her that I liked my glasses and would probably wait with the surgery until we can save money. She agreed. My consultation for the sleep study suggested I needed to complete a sleep study. My mom blew up and said she couldn't pay for a CPAP machine and lasik in the same year. I reminded her that I wasn't ready for lasik yet and I didn't want a CPAP. All I wanted was a diagnosis. And I REALLY don't want to be the 21 year old with a CPAP. She agreed. A week later (today) I had a dentist appointment. We have dental coverage so there was no co-pay. I told my mom i was going to the dentist anyway. She told me to tell her if anything cost anything if I needed extra work done. I ended up having my permanent retainer repaired and fluoride. Both of which were not covered by insurance. She didn't answer the phone before i paid so I just used my own card to be on the safe side. My mom called me back a couple hours later and I told her about the retainer and fluoride and she blew up again asking why i didn't just use the medical card. She even wanted me to call the dentist and ask for a dental credit and to charge the other card instead. She then proceeded to get so mad that she hung up on me. While at the dentist, my doctor asked me if I had trouble sleeping at night. She said that my tongue positioning was preventing me to breathe while laying on my back. This makes sense since I sleep on my back most nights. I told my mom what the doctor said during the phone call as well. She added this on top of the "plethora of other medical conditions i claim to have". The screen recordings are the conversation I had with my mom on snapchat after she hung up on me. The last video is the story she posted. (Other videos in the comments) please keep in mind she tried to delete the first video she sent but only deleted the second half of it) I think she genuinely needs help. She has acted this way toward me alone my whole life. If you know who she is or who I am, please do not offend my family.
