2025.02.01 18:52 PuzzleheadedLaw9109 Took Cat to Vet - Sent to ER (Bad Lungs)
Hi there,
Yesterday, I took my cat to the vet after we noticed he was congested and had some whistle-y breathing, occasional cough but that was going away. We live in LA near the fires so we thought it was just an URI. The vet did an XRAY and immediately sent us to the ER because of the results. At the ER they placed him in an oxygen bay and let me know there is a mass they think and it didn't look good. They quoted me $13k for CT scans, bronchoscopy, ultrasounds and for him to be kept in ICU on oxygen for 24-48 hours. We couldn't afford this and after much back and forth, the doctor let us know we could do out patient and try antibiotics and steroids. They gave him injections as well. It's been 24 hours and he is just as happy as ever and his congestion is gone (or very minuscule). Obviously the mass is extremely concerning if it is there. I wanted to provide the xray study below to just see what others thought they saw. We are planning to take him back in 2 weeks or so to follow up xray.

About five months ago I suffered the most intense bout of intrusive thoughts induced by the ADHD meds I was taken at the time. I went off the meds and took NAC and was able to pretty much recover until about three days when the thoughts came back. They are not as intense but still as threatening they still linger. I'm stuck wondering what caused it to come back and I hope it doesn't continue.

 | I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Metal Sonic too, I swear, but... for some reason, I'm drawn to Mecha Sonic the most. Like, I like his design much more than anything else, although I don't deny that Metal Sonic's design is cool (especially the Neo form). Mecha Sonic's character itself, in my opinion, is quite interesting, much tougher and rougher than Metal's (right?). Idk, maybe these are not the best arguments in favor of Mecha Sonic, but still, I really would like to see more official content with him. And YES, I know he's already made a comeback in the IDW comics, but... that's not quite what I imagined... (Plus, I haven't read the IDW comics since the Metal Virus Arc, so I'll admit I don't know anything right now) Oh well, anyway, I just want to say that he, Mecha Sonic, also deserves more attention from Sega/Sonic Team than he got. I mean, he could have been forgotten for a while, but he could have been brought back later as another unit in Eggman's army, on par with Metal Sonic, or just as a character. OR, it could have been done so that one of Sonic's friends or acquaintances finds a broken Mecha Sonic, after which Tails decides to restore him, but this time make him kind and friendly; However, after some time, he begins to regain his memories, and eventually, he becomes evil again and goes back to Eggman's side, but... this is only the beginning of Mecha Sonic's "Redemption Arc"... Perhaps I just made up some "cringe", but I just wanted to share my opinion about the unfair fate of Mecha Sonic, who was stupidly replaced by Metal Sonic, who is stronger and faster (but at the same time cannot use, or simply has not yet been able to, the power of the Main Chaos Emerald, unlike Mecha Sonic..., right?). If you like Metal more than Mecha Sonic, then everything is fine, everyone has their own favorite. What do you think about Mecha Sonic and his fate?
