2024.11.25 20:40 Asleep-Pen2237 I broke the webcam - now what?
Hey everybody,
I installed Oibco - which required me to update some packages. This in turn has broken webcamd.
I'm not sure how to fix it. I was going to install crowsnest - but it doesn't support Debian Buster.
I got the Debian Buster archive configured - so I could install Oibco - but now I have no camera.
Any thoughts? Tips? Something I need to rebuild? Moonraker? Klipper? Fluidd? which one is in charge of the camera?

 | I recently got the TP Link BE65 pro set of 3 My house is a single story, 1657 sq ft home built in 2022 so the walls are pretty hallow and shouldn't be affecting the signal a significant amount I currently only use 2 units even though I have a 3rd. It's been a significant upgrade and I'm very happy, but I wonder if I'm getting the most out of them. My main one is of course connected directly to the fiber line and the second is approximately 60 feet away with 3 walls in-between, connected through wireless backhaul (i have the 6 GHz band disabled so i assume that's the one it's using for backhaul...?) Speed tests on my phone are fine (paying for 1 Gbps, getting ~500 Mbps pretty much anywhere in the house when connected to the 5 GHz channel. My main question is 1.) Should I be concerned that the signal strength on my secondary unit says medium and 2.) Would the layout of my house be better suited for adding the 3rd unit, or would 2 be better in this case? Hey everyone!
I recently got a new iPhone 16 Pro Max, and I’ve noticed something unusual about the Capture button. When the phone is placed horizontally (landscape mode) to take a photo, the button appears slightly tilted—higher on the left side compared to the right.
The button works perfectly fine, but I’m curious: 1. Is this an intentional design feature for this model? 2. Could this be a manufacturing defect?
I’d appreciate it if anyone with the same phone could share their experience or if someone could shed some light on whether I should be concerned and get it inspected.

Do you think if you came back to open your account in 10 years it will have less than 10k value in it? What about if you DRIP for 10 years and then do not touch for 10 years. Do you think the NAV will have eroded and erased all of your money?

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before so I apologise!
I'm 17, my mum is getting me a cassette player for Christmas and I'm really excited but the one she's getting is some £20 player off of Amazon. I'm fine with that for my first tape player (and grateful to my mum obviously) but I am worried about it chewing up my tapes and/or breaking.
Are there any cassette players that you'd recommend? They don't have to be fancy, just something I can carry around in my jacket pocket and listen to when I'm walking. Ideally something good for a teenager's budget.

Hello everyone,
I hope one of you can help me with my issue. I recently moved and brought my Hue lights with me. I already owned some Hue devices, which were previously connected to a Hue Bridge v2. For the new place, I decided to switch to IKEA's smart home system.
I got some Tradfri GU10 spots, E27 bulbs, and the new DIRIGERA hub. The Tradfri devices paired perfectly with the DIRIGERA hub, as expected, and my Hue GU10 spots and Hue Bloom light also paired without any issues. Everything went smoothly until I tried to pair my Hue Lightstrip Plus V3 with the DIRIGERA hub.
No matter what I tried, the DIRIGERA hub would not detect my Hue Lightstrip Plus V3. I even attempted to pair one of my STYRBAR remotes with the lightstrip, as I’ve read that some people had success pairing a STYRBAR remote with a Hue Lightstrip. Unfortunately, this also didn’t work.
I can confirm that the lightstrip was reset and should enter pairing mode as soon as it’s plugged into the wall. To ensure it wasn’t an issue with the lightstrip, I went back to my old place to check if it could still pair with the Hue Bridge. It worked perfectly there, so I know the lightstrip itself is fine. Afterwards I deleted the lightstrip from the Hue Bridge again and confirmed that it no longer appears in the Hue app.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how I can pair the lightstrip with the DIRIGERA hub? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Like how do you make your playersbase so angry and the only thing you said is “will fix it later” when the problem will be way worst and everyone will leave the game for other better options that don’t want to suck the money out of there playerbase (i know this post will likely be downvoted and i know the game will never die but come on SD you can do things right and make you playerbase happy for once)

I got an i7 female regal at an expo a week ago, She'll investigate my finger a little but wont currently step up onto my finger or hand. I've seen others use paint brushes to coax them but I swear she is attacking the paint brush any time I bring it into her vicinity. She will actively hone in on it like a missile even if it's not really near her and strike at it before releasing it. No threat display as far as I can tell. I thought they weren't supposed to be bitey? What could be the reason for this?

I can’t help but have cold feet as I feel like there will be parts of my old face I may miss. For those who had surgery- how much did the front of your face change? How long did it take for you to get used to your new face? I’m wanting to get an alar cinch to prevent my nose from widening too much.
