Hi rccrawlers,
I’m diving into the world of RC crawlers soon and need some advice before making my first purchase. After some research, I’ve narrowed my options down to three models:
- Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ7
- Redcat Gen 9
- Traxxas TRX-4 Defender
Aftermarket support is a key factor for me. I’ve noticed that the Redcat Gen 9 doesn’t seem to have much in terms of aftermarket parts right now, at least compared to the SCX10 III and TRX4. Does anyone know if parts from other RC crawlers (like the Gen 8 or SCX10) are compatible with the Gen 9 if I decide to get it?
Here’s what I’m hoping to learn:
- Performance & Durability: How do these models stack up on the trail or rocks? Are there any major weaknesses I should know about?
- Aftermarket Support: Which model has the best range of options for bumpers, wheels, tires, or other accessories?
- Hidden Costs: Are there any quirks with these models that might require immediate upgrades (e.g., servos, electronics, or specific tools)?
- Ease of Maintenance: Since I’m new, I’d appreciate a model that’s straightforward to repair and maintain. Any tips on must-have tools or spare parts?
- Battery & Electronics: Would I need to upgrade anything like the ESC, servo, or battery to get the best experience from these crawlers?

so i was finishing up my uc application form and the fee waiver qualification came up, asking my for my family's income in 2023. i knew we didnt qualify but i was curious what the highest income that qualified was, and it was around 50k. i then reloaded the site but it saved that as the income, asking me if i want to accept the fee waiver. im scared to submit with the wrong income, but im still going to click no on accepting the waiver. will that make it okay to submit?

Okay so I accidentally messed up. I opened a checking account like the beginning of the month but they never sent me a card so I just thought I never finished setting it up or whatever because this is my first checking account so I went to open a secured checking account through the app and it said something about emailing me within a day to let me know and they called me like an hour after while I was at work so I couldn’t answer and they left a voicemail saying they suspended my account due to fraud and I had to call them but when I call them it says I need a card number to get through and I do not have that is there anything I can do to fix this? I think it said I should get a card 5-7 business days before any of this happened so if I get that card will I be able to sort it out or will it be to late? I apologize I’m new to all of this and have no idea what else to do

Today I received paperwork stating I am being sued by Portolio Recovery for unpaid debt on a Care Credit Card (Synchrony Bank) back in March 2020 in the amount of $2,207.53. I am in IL, and the statute of limitations is 5 years - my court date is scheduled for January 2025.
My question is - I know I need to respond on a timely manner to prevent a judgement against me, but has anyone had luck with a similar situation? I’ve seen a few threads similar but not for the same company the debt originated from/debt amount.
We already have an attorney on retainer and honestly, we could pay the amount they are filing for. But I have a hard time being willing to pay money to company that bought my debt for chump change if I don’t absolutely have to. I obviously do not have access to see if Synchrony Bank had an arbitration clause all the way back in 2020.
