I’d like to add to the mix. I encountered the same problem, writing a novel. That’s how I found you guys. Prior to seeing the Scrivener’s version, I wrote, “Aww-ooh!”— (as dialogue). I write science fiction/romance/horror genres. My concept of a werewolf is similar to a natural wolf, only larger in size, possessing human/wolf sentience. If talking very formally to a woman you don't know (especially if you are for example a waiter or receptionist), you would always say "Madam," unless it was a young girl or very young woman. And in writing, if you don't know the marital status, you say Ms, not Miss. greeting all, I have a video that I’m translating to English. The video is about someone who talks about himself. In the beginning of the video he introduces himself by saying his name and age. His name is Jack and he’s 11. So, I put in this way: “I am Jack. And I am 11-year-old”. My concern is... I was wondering if there was an adverb for writing that could improve the rhythm of this sentence for my ear. The mayor attacked the politician verbally and (writtenly). I wanted to say the mayor criticized that politician in a press conference and an article he wrote. I think "writtenly" is... How does "anticipate" sound as a substitute for "look forward" in business writing as in "I very much anticipate having/to have you as our guests" in lieu of "I very much look forward to having you as our guests?" Is "look forward" the better fit for such context? I wouldn't say that, Patatos. I work in a multi-lingual environment, and the only people I regularly see writing "th" are not native English speakers (sometimes they even put 1th, 2th, 3th!). Most BrE speakers I know write dates in d-m-y order (20 June 2013), which is consistent with numerical dates in the UK, which are always d-m-y. The differences are very slight. "I'm writing to you today" is a little more formal than "I'm writing you today." Also, in some cases you can't use "to" or must move it: I'm writing you this letter today I'm writing this letter to you today I'm writing to you this letter today When we add "for two weeks", we're specifying a length of time during which something is happening. Therefore, "I have been writing it for two weeks" tells us that it is still unfinished and that we have more work to do. Here are a few examples of the present perfect in sentences: I have written many reports, but I don't intend to write any more. When writing english business letters, which is the corrct abbreviation of "attention". I reckon it must be either "att" or "atn". You knew going into the match you had a zero percent chance of winning. So why is it a shock when you lose that you don’t finish the unofficial first to 10 park rule?
I’m not smurfing. I’m over level 1000. I have the gold vip wanted poster. Sometimes I even have the celestial aura. I don’t know what else I can do to warn you you’re going to get fucked up. My player card slogan is “I got that bat in me” I’m in the top 99.48%tile on rating update. The only people who can take sets off me are pros.
I’m playing you to teach you the game and to practice something I want to improve on in a low stress environment. No malicious intent. Most low level players play me and thank me for playing a death match with them.
And you know what? Those players after the beating improve a lot through the near infinite set we play. They make a bunch of adaptations and we both feel like they are better players afterwords.
My biggest growth skill wise in this game was going through the same thing, just in August in fact. I played a mirror match set with a player who was better than me and I got my ass beat. But I improved through that set a lot and now I’m a higher elo than they were, when that beating took place. I’m thankful for the asswhipping they gave me. I learned so much.
Red pill/blue pill. Do you just want to win or do you want to improve? The choice is all of ours.

Both of them seemed to merely point out the obvious, add arbitrary rules to make things harder, and leave interesting things to explore off the table.
There’s no reason it should have been hard to find mid range athletic clothes & the price point could’ve very easily had wiggle room, they didn’t explain why they capped it where they did. Half the issues Amy experienced could have been solved by just picking a different style from the same brand. I didn’t do the math but comments were saying some of the calculations were off. They also completely ignored a 10% off coupon on the Amazon page that really affected the price.
Food theory concluded you get hangry in a calorie deficit & it’s hard to force yourself to overeat without adding unhealthy food…yeah. No kidding.
Hopefully the LA fires aren’t affecting Team Theorist, these videos feel more rushed & less looked ovefact checked than I expect.

2025.01.18 22:51 Mountain_family how do you know if you also damaged meniscus?

Hi all,
I tore my ACL a week ago (was diagnosed in an exam with an orthopedic PA). My MRI isn't until next week, I couldn't get in with a good sports PT until 1/27, and my appt with the surgeon isn't until 2/11.
Until I can see the experts, I am curious: how do you know if you also damaged your meniscus?
I had a fairly simple, low velocity fall (jogging downhill on a technical trial, unlucky slip) and was able to hike/jog out 5 miles after the injury. Swelling and pain were bad for 3 days but now I'm walking - limping a bit in the house and walking well with poles when I go on walks. I appreciated the brace for a few days but am not using it much anymore because it makes me tighten my lower back. I can bend it way past 90 degrees and have full extension. There is a little bit of clicking and popping if I do extension/flexion exercises. I can go up stairs normally but not down. Not much pain overall, just some minor swelling and soreness as the day progresses, which I take as my cue to ice/elevate. I'm a full time parent to young kids so I need to be up and about a lot.
Does a meniscus tear mean you have to be on crutches and in a brace after surgery?? That would be tough for very active me. I had a straight up patellar graft ACL repair on this knee in high school and remember that I was walking without crutches within a week or two.

Played 2k points with my buddy last night who was running world eaters. I tried the bridge head strike detachment rules out and they were ok but my heart is super heavy today after the way the dice rolled all night. I took 9 scout sentinels all with lascannons. Every single lascannon shot missed. Every single hunter killer missile whiffed by a mile. I screwed up and only took a tempestor prime as my one officer (why the heck did i only have one officer). He died the same round he came in, never gave an order. No orders the whole game. I got absolutely whiped. What a hard reset that was.
I hope the emperor shines on everyone else this weekend.
