I know some might consider this an advantage rather than being a downside but this is why I consider it the latter.
Imo, confidants/followers for me are one of the best aspects if not the best aspect of these games because I love how intimate they are, how you actually feel like talking to someone, discussing problems and solutions and the aimless chatter that arises between any two friends.
In metaphor I felt none of that, mind you I'm only 30 hours in and haven't even found 3 confidants, but I just finished strohl's confidant and these issues were really brought to light.
First of all, was the ending written by a different guy because why is it ending with him accepting that his parents actually trusted in him when that wasn't even the whole point of the confidant?? Like why was the build up to him realizing that, when it couldve been better suited for him realizing that this is only the first step in a long journey or something like that, yes cliché but it's way better and thematically coherent with the whole confidant.
My main takeaway was that his confidant was about how a righteous noble ought to use his power for good in a discriminating world, and it discussed it well, until he bought them houses?? That's a whole other moral dilemma that's just straight up wrong
"Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, you feed him for eternity" or smth like that. When he gave them the houses he never actually fixed the issue at hand which is the obvious discrimination and the indefinite dictatorship.
Second of all, In most confidants I never feel any intimacy in the interactions with the followers, I feel like it's just exposition and them just saying there is this problem, they don't know the solution but right away saying what they'll do.
They never struggle, except for the good confidants where I really feel connected to the characters like Maria, Heismay, More, and sorta gallica, in them I actually struggle and think about what their going to do because there is no clear answer which makes it really rewarding when I can finally see their conclusions and how they deal with their tragedies, which make it a whole lot intimate.
Finally, the aimless conversations, where none are present in Metaphor, while I appreciate the sentiment but considering this game is at least 60 hours I don't see anyone wanting to save time. Because yes I do want to discuss useless topics with my friends while looking to the horizon, because that's an aspect of friendship too. It feels like in every confidant were rushing each meet up but why couldn't we add more fluff? It's an odd thing to say for sure but when was the goal of confidants the end result? It was always about the journey.
Ik Ive only finished one confidant, and still have others but these are just my thoughts so far but nonetheless the story is pretty solid so far.

Long story short I would binge drink heavily on weekends (10-15 drinks in a night) and dabble in cocaine. After taking the last 2 weekends off I feel like my anxiety has decreased a significantly which has increased my confidence. I do want to add that I’m taking Zoloft. I see Musk's stupid fucking Nazi shit every ten minutes when I'm online. That's ok - good, it should be communicated and circulated. I also see occasionally the texts/communications between Boomers, haters, etc. A lot of the pushback being - oh, he's just autistic. He was being funny. Being silly. Being excited. And he didn't mean it like that. He was just "being autistic and being excited" is the main gist. Maybe you have seen.
I don't follow anything on Reddit regarding autistic communities or anything else in that realm. I'm an absolute supporter, but I just don't follow it on Reddit.
I would imagine there's pushback in their community, if not others. ????? I haven't seen it? Maybe I'm lost in the algorithm. Looking for some enlightenment.

Okay so first off everyone in my house has perfectly fine 5G and LTE usage. It’s not an area thing. I can’t go on Hulu. Can’t use this app. Basically I can’t use anything I haven’t already downloaded on WiFi which was not an issue in the first 2 years of using this network. I thought this issue would go away once I upgraded my phone from an SE to the 14 but I still can’t do any of the shit I couldn’t do before. I’ve tried replacing the SIM card and turning data on and off again. I’ve tried disconnecting from 5G and only using LTE. Nothing works and it should work, it used to work. I bought a whole new phone just so I could use my phone off wifi and yeah that didn’t help I actually can’t use data anywhere. I just need to know what else I can do because there has to be a way to fix this somehow.

I am just about to hit d3, which obviously is where bans start to come into place. With that being said in a lot of my games I find myself often having to overpush space to get a pick on a healer as strange and take a risk. Obviously against better players in diamond and above you start seeing the heavy position counters like wolverine or winter soldier or mantis, etc. That in consideration, is it better to have a synergy of an off tank like cap, thor, hulk, etc and a main tank when looking for picks and assessing overall playability, or can you make two main tanks work pretty consistently? I main doctor strange and main tank but I find myself struggling when getting forced onto another main tank that does not have strange's mobility when I'm forced out of position. Any help and advice is appreciated!

I’m a young woman (23) finishing my bachelor’s degree. I talk to my friends and most of us do want a family with husbands and children. I’m wondering if young men our age talk about the same things? Do men even want to husbands anymore? Scrolling of social media i always see young women my age getting their education dreaming about being wives and good mothers but i barely see this from the male population? Maybe because my timeline is obviously filled with more “girly” content but what if it’s not?? I genuinely find it hard to find men my age in their early twenties pursuing a realistic career (subjective, I know) or an education with goals of being a husband and doing “man” duties like being a father or provider or protecting. If I do find it they’re mostly dreaming of having multiple wives or some weird fantasy like that??!? Is there hope for my dreams of finding this? I know I have more to bank on than just finding a husband and kids (my career, traveling, health and hobbies etc) but I sure hope I can find a husband with similar dreams of mine.. Tldr: do guys in their 20’s want to get married and have a family anymore?
