not really sure of how to articulate this but a couple of days ago after a stressful conversation with my partner, I apparently stormed out of our apartment having yelled at them (which I never do). by the time I came back inside myself I was in the next neighborhood, barefoot in the midday sun, and had scratched my arms and back up. it felt as if I’d just woken up from a dream and as soon as I snapped back I felt … completely fine? like I walked back with no issues and was even able to make small talk with a couple of the neighbors and speak calmly with my partner when I got back home.
this isn’t something that’s happened to me outside of a trauma situation before. I’ve also been unable to sleep properly in 3+ weeks and start to panic when I close my eyes. it doesn’t help that I have the most intense nightmares when I do sleep, which makes me all the more averse to it.
it just sucks because I was doing so well, or so I thought. I’m unmedicated (for some reason I have a strong allergic reaction to literally everything in the past 1+ year) but have been in therapy for almost 5 years now and feel.. relatively stable? but the intensity and frequency of my hypomanic episodes has increased and now this dissociative episode (fugue? I’m not really sure what happened) has really shaken me.
I’d really appreciate some words of comfort, advice for safety measures, and any relevant experiences anyone might have. I don’t know anyone in person who understands this and sometimes feel so deeply alone and ashamed. the last time I want is to put myself or someone else in danger. it really scares me to think of the endlessness of this

Is there a way to tell if my battery is going to die before it actually dies? I’m still on a 4 year old factory installed battery, so I know I’m “due” for a new one. But I don’t want to buy a new one if this one still has life left in it.
The gauge shows voltage at 14+ and the car has been starting even in below zero temps for the past 3 nights.
Are there warning signs to watch for, or any advice other than “just buy a new one”?

To help me get my bearings, I have been seeking out old episodes, exploring Fandom, and reading comments here on Reddit. Of course, I understand many people’s concerns with the writing and other issues. Since I have just been learning about the histories of the characters, I’m a little sad to see several characters exit after I’ve devoted time to learning about them. I understand the narrative and economic need to winnow out some characters and respect actors choosing to move on. But I enjoy television series that have a sprawling, robust casts. This allows for the show to have a plurality of voices, experiences, and world views among its character population.

In Python, if you write your own custom linked list or self balancing binary tree in order to improve your algorithmic complexity, sometimes the end result is that it is actually slower to use this instead of the native Python data structures, despite the fact that they would have worse algorithmic time complexity.
The reason is because Python is interpreted, and very slow. When you use the native python datastructures, they are much much faster because they execute in the C virtual machine instead of in python land.
Does Javascript have a similar problem? Or does the fact that Javascript has JIT when Python does not resolve this problem?

I’m a wee baby witch and i performed my first ritual/spell today. it was a love spell in which i asked for his intentions to be made clear to me, i carved our names into candles and tied them together. both our flames were big and active and although they got incredibly close to eachother they never physically touched. when it came to blowing the candles out, his flame wouldn’t go out for a while and when it did, it fell over. would somebody be willing to help me understand what this means? thanks so much in advance :)

I've been playing since 1.1 and consider myself a meta player, but I am stuck at building arlecchino.
To give some context, I ended up pulling Father without expecting to, I got her at pity 8 after getting Clorinde, Mavuika AND Citlali, so I really wasn't considering getting her an option. Thus, my options for her, both regarding weapons, artifacts and teams.
For weapons, I only have White Tassel and, despite knowing that it is indeed a great f2p option for her, I cant handle seeing that my attack doesn't reach 1500 without buffs (for the moment I don't play her with bennet, so he does not compensate for that).
Artifacts-wise, I have extremely bad circlets, so my build is quite deficient on that side.
And finally, as I like to play mavuika in abyss, I have only thought about a double hydro team for Arle, as that is the only one that doesn't steal units from Mavuika's team.
How would hou handle this situation? I want to use both, but I feel like, for me, Arle is not going to be the best unit for abyss, which is what my main focus.

 | Hello reddit! Here is my practically no maintenance 15g tank. It's a hot mess of a jungle, and normally remains so until I decide to remove almost all of the water lettuce (irregularly, like once every month or smt). I don't do many water changes, simply top it up once or twice every two weeks. I've had shrimp, khuli coaches, a single mini pleco (i forget the actual name of the species but it's a permanent dwarf size), mystery snails, and multiple betta in it for about 4-5 months now (give or take a month or two; idk what Time is). The mystery snails, shrimp, and betta(s) have all reproduced multiple times, so I assume everyone's happy and healthy. I've only seen two shrimps die (close to when I brought them home from the petstore). Currently I have 5 baby bettas (not idea what their sex is), like at least 50 baby mystery snails, and at least 7 four day old shrimplets. Additionally. I have at least one adult mystery snails, one adult mini piece, at least two khuli loaches, and at least 9 adult shrimp. I'm just posting this to have some conversations with anyone willing to comment/talk! Water Parameters; PH: 7.8 Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 10-20ppm Setup; 15g freshwater HoB Aquaclear 20g filter + pre-sponge filter All live plants Driftwood & rocks from different local bodies of water Fluval Stratum and random fine gravel for substrate Random Maintenance; I feed bloodworm, homemade algea pelets , generic fish flakes, finely diced frozen shrimp from the grocery store, blanched veggies, all randomly, never keep to a schedule. We don’t want to fly to a location because the photos don’t have have evergreen (lizard got herself a new business book to learn new words) and some followers/customers can’t relate to those places. Here’s a new flash, you sell $300 dresses and $500 cashmere sweaters, the people that can afford your marked up knockoffs, should be able to afford those vacations. And I am confused, we are flying in a model for three days. You live an easy train ride away from NYC which is home to many models, you can’t find a photo shoot place and model in the city? The shoot would be wrapped up in a day. I wonder if the IRS or her accountant said no more writing off family vacations or perhaps that’s why she takes so many photos in the ski cabin, to say it was used for her business.

I have NextCloud and Immich routed through a Cloudflare Zero Trust Tunnel so that I can access them from anywhere. I DON'T want to just set these up to be accessed only via Tailscale or a similar VPN, because:
- I don't wanna kill my phone battery by running a VPN 24/7
- I want to be able to easily log into my NextCloud instance on a friend's laptop whenever necessary without setting up a VPN first.
What alternatives (OTHER THAN a VPN or port forwarding) that accomplish the same task as Cloudflare?

 | The weather in northern Norway can be harsh, especially during the winter. Blizzards and snowstorms can suddenly form, so many animals have to deal with these conditions. Therefore, many animals are able to sence the incoming weather and react accordingly. For the old Sami that lived in the wilderness before we had technology that told us the weather, seeing the animal behaviors was something they had to learn in order to prepare for the weather. Living on the tundra has it's challenges, as there is barely any shelter there. If reindeer suddenly start gathering into a tight herd then a blizzard is usualy coming. They are a able to sence where the wind is going to blow, and move to the opposite side of mountains where they have a bit shelter against the wind. Smaller animals like ptarmigans and arctic foxes are more at risk during a storm than reindeer, so they often have to find proper shelter before the storm comes. A rock, boulder or anything they can press up against can save them against the worst weather. People living on the tundra edge, where the tundra meets the woodlands had it a bit better, as they could move down towards the trees where the winds weren't as powerful. If they were out gathering rescources or herding, and saw animal tracks coming from the tundra down to the woodlands, then a storm was most likely coming. Animals know that the trees provide shelter and quickly leave the tundra to avoid the stronger winds. Then for people living inside the woodlands or forests, they had it the easiest, as the blizzards there aren't as dangerous and strong. Still, sometimes a proper storm does happen, and even then animals have to prepare. Birds usualy stop flying around and gather in the largest trees that are least affected by the wind and stay there until the storm passes. Land animals usualy find the places where the forest is the thickest and where the wind can't break through. They will then lay down and wait for the blizzard to stop. Even in the summer, animals can be used to predict the weather. Obviously there aren't blizzards or snow storms, but rain and thunder storms. While rain isn't that bad, thunder storms usualy have a heavy downpour, and if you aren't inside or haven't found shelter you will get drenched. So in the summer, frogs and mosquitos were used to predict thunder storms. Frogs are often found near ponds and bodies of water. However they still need to breed or find new territories, so they will often have to travel between water bodies to do so. The problem is that their skins needs moisture, and if they leave their pond they might risk drying out. However because frogs are able to sence the rain, they will usualy start "migrating" before the rains, as they know their skin isn't in danger when they venture out. Mosquitos need water and blood to lay their eggs. They usualy become more aggressive before it starts raining as they know that there will be more water for them to lay their eggs in. However while rain makes them aggressive, thunder storms turn them into maniacs, as they will come in huge swarms and attack anything they see. Thunder storms are the ones that make new ponds and puddles to appear, and that's what the mosquitos need to lay their eggs.
