Hey! I’m an 18-year-old girl from Romania, and I’m hoping to find a close, lifelong friend. I’m shy, introverted, and socially awkward, which is part of why I decided to post here. I’m not the greatest at giving advice, but I’m a good listener, I can keep secrets, and I’ll always be there for you—even if it’s 3 AM and you’re desperately trying to remember a meme you saw years ago. I have a sarcastic sense of humor and love dark jokes, and I can be a bit quirky sometimes.
I love reading, learning languages, listening to music, collecting plushies, writing, and taking long walks. I’m also weirdly into creepy or paranormal topics and once stayed up all night reading about haunted mirrors. Psychology and true crime fascinate me, and I enjoy books with romance, mystery, thrillers, or paranormal twists. Sometimes I’ll even dive into cheesy fantasy novels just for fun. When it comes to music, I’ll listen to almost anything except opera and jazz. My favorite band is Linkin Park, but lately, I’ve been on a kick with lo-fi covers of video game soundtracks.
I have ADHD, so I can be forgetful, hyper-focused, or both at once. I’m also a pretty affectionate person—spontaneous hugs are kind of my thing. I’m a hopeless romantic who tends to fall for fictional characters more than real ones, and I have a bizarre talent for finding the best snacks in grocery stores. My dog Max is my partner in crime, and I may talk about him way too much. He once buried my sock in a flower pot, so he’s just as chaotic as I am.
Even though I’m technically Christian, I’m not religious. I don’t plan on having kids, but I wouldn’t mind being the fun aunt who spoils them and skips out before bedtime. I’m pro-LGBT, bisexual, and try to be as open-minded and non-judgmental as possible. Politically, I lean liberal/leftist (by U.S. standards), but I’d rather not get into heavy debates.

I just received Alicia and I love him so much (renamed him romeo) but I'm noticing many differences between the 2014 bear and the 2021 bear (kingsley is my 2021). Their joints down to their fur and their eyes, even the muzzle and airbrushing is a bit different. I love them both, Kingsley is my favorite for sentimental reasons but they are both equally loveable and quality. I just want to infodump about bears lol

I'm new here so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong group.
I'm looking for apartments or private landlords that will accept an eviction (from mid 2023). I did file bankruptcy end of last year and included the apartment complex because for some reason I thought it'd help in the long run.
I'm looking for a 3 bed 2 bath (or 1.5 bath) max rent $2,000. Monthly income is about 3.5 times that. Preferably in any of these counties: PG, Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Charles, Calvert, St Mary's, or Howard.

This is anecdotal, but I know economics is one of the main reasons you see people say they don't want children. While I recognize we are in tough times economically and that is a factor. I know many couples who do well financially and decided to not have children. And I met another person today. 37 years old, makes a good living in a mid cost of living area. Dual income, between him and his wire. Not planning on having kids. If the decision was just economics, then why would you see this so commonly. People that can afford it and not choose to do so. Like I mentioned, I am 49 and have a group of friends around 40 that have money and are childless. Something changed culturally (and it's not because of the problems in the world like Reddit would make you feel) where people just don't want it. It is not something they desire. And this is the primary reason you see the falling birth rate. Where there is a will there is a way, where there is no will there is no way.

Title has my question. I was wondering if anybody in the area had the skills to repair one of these bad boys. I got one second hand and it appears to be in immaculate condition (very clean, no obvious damage on any boards or cables), but it won't get to printing. I was wondering if somebody on here knew of anybody to have a look and help me figure out what was wrong. I suspect it's as simple as swapping out a cable somewhere, but I'd rather someone with more skills do that as I am not the best with being gentle with things when disassembling and don't have replacement parts on hand.

Hello! I signed up for a Entrepreneurs of Impact contest to win a prize to help start creating what I call a Safe-place community garden. It would mean so much to me. I had a rough time with my childhood , when I was in high-school I moved out and couch surfed to graduate. If the people in my community had not helped and guide me with the right tools I would not be where I am today. I imagine I'd be long gone by now or struggling in more ways than I do now. I want to repay those who've helped me by creating a space for children, young adults or anyone who needs support. I want there to be a warm safe place where food is available, a shoulder to lean on , and someone to help provide others with the tools to help their personal journey and success out of bad situations they were either born into or fell into. Additionally I want to help combat loneliness within assisted living facilities and retirement homes by providing a community environment that leans on one another and utilizes the wisdom that others have to help longevity and positive outlooks moving forward as much as possible. I genuinely believe this is my purpose to help others using the skills I've gained from those who've helped me when they all could've turned away. Gardening has saved me in more ways than one and helped me navigate this world.
