Hello! Me and my friends (all 18 year old graduating seniors minus one who's 17) are preparing our grad week beach trip to Myrtle Beach. We just wanted some advice on how to go on about planning. This trip is very much in its infant stages and it's kinda stressing me out because we know other people that have had their parents plan the entire thing, but none of ours are really wanting to get too involved because it's supposed to be "our" thing. They have proposed helping us with payment though. Nothing is set in stone yet but we'd really like to be ahead of the game so as we get closer to graduation, the less we have to worry about this big trip.
Here's some basic info:
- Location: Myrtle Beach
- We all plan to split the price of any reservation.
- We really would like a private home with a private pool + other basic amenities
- There are 7 of us in total
I'd also like to note that we do plan on going out and partying because duh! it's grad week but me and my friends are not the rambunctious types and we like to leave things better than how we got them lol idk just thought that was relevant

Hello all! Hoping to get some opinions on this. Recently we made a new batch of OP50 in my lab (last week) and now it looks like this. It seems like the bacteria is not pelleting in the usual way (the pellet is not as densely packed as normal) and when you invert the tube, it seems to all move togetheappears almost gelatinous. Shaking the tube incorporates the pellet but in general, none of us in the lab have ever seen OP50 act this way so we aren't sure if this is normal/potentially okay to use. We're not even sure what's causing this to be honest. Any insights would be greatly appreciated

I'm 16 years old and homeschooled. I've had an interest in WW2 for a very long time and recently I've really sunk my teeth into it.
For the last few weeks, I've been watching movies and shows with my dad in order to get a feel for what I'm looking for. Some fictional, some true stories. So far I've seen: Band of Brothers, The Monuments Men, Fury, Blood and Gold, and All Quiet on the Western Front (which I am aware is WWI and believe the message is vital to researching any war.) I saw The Boy In The Striped Pajamas a long time ago and plan to watch it again soon.
On my watch list are: Greatest Events of WWII In Color, Schindler's List, Six Triple Eight, World War II From The Front Lines, Number 24, The Forgotten Battle, Saving Private Ryan, The Photography of Mauthausen, and The Pacific.
I have a few books on my shelf I plan to read soon: WWII The Axis Assault 1939-1942 by The New York Times, Band of Brothers by Stephen E. Ambrose, The Monuments Men by Robert M. Edsel, Brave Men by Ernie Pyle and All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.
(Side note: my copy of Brave Men is a first edition 1944 copy and was made with rationed paper. There's actually a note written in pencil on the first page that the book was a Christmas gift from a man to his father. How fascinating is it that this book was given as a gift at the same time that Easy Company was in Bastogne??)
I read The Boy in The Striped Pajamas a long time ago and I also read Number The Stars around that time. I'm currently looking to get a copy of They Thought They Were Free by Milton Mayer.
What I'm looking for are recommendations of books, movies, and shows that give a good picture of everything important. My interests lie mostly in the European Theater and I'm very interested in the events of Normandy, The Battle of The Bulge, and the surrounding and subsequent events of those battles. I'd like to learn about Hitler's rise to power and what the country looked like during. I like to learn about US soldiers the most, but I know I need to branch out and learn about everyone.
One problem for me is when a documentary or a book is so stiff that I can't get through it. I'm not sure how to describe it, but you can picture a documentary and the slow, uninteresting way many of them are spoken in. It's the same story for books that use overly large and fancy words; books that give off the impression that the author has a character quota to meet. This unfortunately limits my material.
Overall, I'm kind of a newbie here and I really want to learn. History is important to me just as I imagine it's important to all of you.

2025.01.22 19:59 Bored_at_work_67 Stalling during Pre-Application Installation
Hey all,
I'm fairly newish to MDT but have been given imaging responsibility and I'm encountering an issue that's got me scratching my head. Imaging is getting hung up on the "Windows Update (Pre-Application Installation)" step. I'm not getting any errors, it will just stall.
When I look in the bdd.log file, I see:
Scan complete, ready to install updates. Count = 46
Begin Downloading...
And then nothing happens. I've let the computer sit over the weekend just in case and there was no progress.
Initially the task sequence (which was made before I started working on imaging) was installing 22H2 and I thought that maybe updating to 23H2 would help the windows update along? I dunno, I'm not going to feign expert knowledge in update and build versions. But anyways, I updated the os build to 10.0.22621.3007 and I'm getting the same thing. Is there something in ZTIWindowsUpdate.wsf that's causing the problem? Something that can be fixed?
