Basically I live in Sweden and have been studying the language so I now have a B1 level. I can get by in the language and will have to continue my education until fluency to find work but my native language is English. My partner is Italian and our plan is that I will speak to the baby in English and he Italian exclusively and we speak Swedish and English to one another. My wonder is would it be bad if I start start mixing Swedish into conversation with my baby once they start day care? How can I prepare them for entering a fully Swedish language environment? Luckily I have Swedish friends who promised me to exclusively speak to the baby in Swedish while they come visit but I don’t have the skills to speak the language fluently and not make her confused so I’m seeking advice on whether I should just leave it to the daycare and my friends until I’m good enough or if sprinkling in some Swedish here and there is harmless. ( I am also intermediate in Spanish and Italian but decided already to let her dad and grandparents manage Italian with her for example since I’m focused on learning Swedish)

As someone who has never worked in high level office culture, was this based in truth? Did I misread the interaction? Do some offices just make frequent orders of food for the most specious reasoning? How much pizza was lying around offices pre-covid and post-covid?

Hi all, heavy DFIR shop here with a fast growing ediscovery side with onprem relativity and other tools. What are your preferred methods for std ediscovery extractions from the myriad forensic images formats to get data into review in a clean, deNist, best metadata sort of way? Axiom, Inspector, Autopsy, home grown scripting etc? Just looking to make things more efficient and automated than encase but some of the load files coming out of the commercial forensic tools are garbage. Thanks for any thoughts!

I’m trying to set up a fitness routine for myself and feel like I get so much more out of in-person fitness classes than I do when I just go to the gym independently. Classpass has always been appealing to me so I can take advantage of different studios and switch it up when I get bored. Can any Classpass users share their experience about how many credits classes are and if they feel like it’s worth it in Wilmington? I used the app many years ago living in Raleigh but it was still pretty new and definitely working out some kinks. I plan on mostly signing up for Pilates, barre, yoga, and cycling classes, ideally after 6pm weekdays and anytime on weekends. Shooting for a class 2x a week and I’ll supplement with at-home workouts other days of the week. If anyone has studio recommendations or any other thoughts please share! Thanks in advance :)

I have a large backlog and just got done putting a lot of time in cyberpunk. It was a great game but definitely burnt out of the game itself right now. For my next game I want to play something that will feel refreshing in comparison, so nothing too similar.
The games I have that I am considering in my backlog is Spiderman Remastered, Elden Ring, Baldurs Gate 3, or God of War.
I'm heavily leaning towards spiderman but would like everyone's opinion as to what would be the best after cyberpunk.

Is the pension something I should take? Take the full 50%? Or go for equivalents in RRSPs and the home equity buyout?

 | Remove paint and redo with limewash paint? Is there a thincoat breathable system I can put on them? Should I waterproof them? The bricks without the paint were damaged from previous render removal (render was down to the ground) and are ugly which is why they were painted. Some have also already been filled in with cement where there was damage - paint hid this! What do I do? The bottom course looks less opaque and not spalled as only one watered down was applied there. Could that be work on all the bricks? Could a dodgy flat roof with water run off cause this as well? I'm writing this for my partner as she isn't a redditor, and I created a new account to prevent identity. My partner works for a Multinational company as a Purchase Ledger Admin. She has worked there for 8 years and has a further 11 years of experience, but is unqualified . In the last 12 months a new Management accountant was recruited as her line manager. Unfortunately, he appears incompetent and constantly asks her to do additional tasks that should be within his own job role.
Because he appears to have an inability to learn, he panics whenever she goes on holiday and most of her tasks were still waiting for her as they do not cover her role. They also changed to new software with negligible training, so many things take a lot longer due to lack of templates etc. When she asks for help, it's rare that this is provided or is told to read the written instructions, and he doesn't like it when she asks for help from higher ups in the International division. He also constantly gives her tasks through Teams, which she is reluctant to do as there is no email trail to cover her.
He also asks her to do additional tasks without setting a priority. He recently asked her to do something by end of day whilst she was working on month end. When she sought clarification, he mentioned it was "desirable" but refused to give a priority.
Her Director sometimes helps and seems to be putting pressure on her manager, but it's still not an ideal situation. Her managers have started calling her the AP Manager but without any official recognition or pay increase.
I'll finally get to the point of this post by saying she asked for annual leave starting on the 4th of the month after month end returning before new month end, but he has refused this by saying it was too many days off i.e 13 working days. Her Letter of Employment states that "the taking of annual leave is at the discretion of the company". So that does appear unequivocal.
Is it correct that she can be blocked from taking holidays for around 120 days per year ? She feels that her job has become assisting him while also expected to manage the ledger.
They also do not have an HR department as such, but the head of HR is her Director.
This tension and pressure is really effecting her mental health and she has talked about leaving, but she is in her mid-50's and is unsure about getting another job at this stage. Alongside the fact that she worked there for so many years without issue.
She is based in the NW UK and her current salary is 27K.
I'm also not sure if this the best subreddit to post to, so apologies if not.

I hope someone can clarify to me this. If a model with a crossbow is standing up in its turn, can it still shoot or is that considered as movement, and thus not it won't be able to shoot?
