2025.01.30 14:43 SlickJimmy155 My PC keeps crashing and I dont know what the root cause is
This has been happening for exactly a week now, and its happening in the exact same way. One moment Im browsing and everything is fine, the next I realize I cant open on of the applications on the task bar, I can do crtl alt delete until that stops working, clicking shut down or restart doesn't do anything, and the only way I can stop it is by holding down the power button on my computer. Its happened a total of 6 times of typing this and I've yet to find any solution to this problem, mainly because of school but also because there hasnt been any sort of recurring pattern that would point to a specific cause. Like, initially noticed that it would only happned if my pc wasnt shut down for more than a day, but I dont think that's the case anymore because the gap of time between the 5th and 6th crashes was less than 24 hours. Event Viewer does pick up on these crashes, but lists them happening about 4 to 5 minutes before I notice, and close to 10 before it notices. Which I guess is a clue but I don't know what that could point to.
I really need help fixes this. Ive a good portion of files because they got corrupted during the crash. And I certainly know that these constant powering off and on is putting a good amount of strain on my power supply. I haven't taken my pc to any shop yet but I want to see if this is something I could troubleshoot on my own.

 | So yesterdat It was around 7 PM and I was walking home from the hospital after a blood test. The whole street was pitch black due to power cut. No streetlights just me, my footsteps and my whistling breaking the silence. I had my flashlight on shining ahead. Then I noticed someone walking in front of me. A girl, wearing a school bag. She turned her head saw me and immediately started walking faster. I stopped, Pulled out my phone & Started scrolling pretending to be busy. I didn’t want to scare her, so I just stood there for a bit letting her walk ahead. Then out of nowhere, I heard a voice. "Bhaiya, kya aap mujhe please ghar tak chhod doge?" I looked up and realized it was my neighbor’s daughter. She must’ve been coming back from tuition. I nodded & said "Alright." As we started walking, she asked "Why did you stop when you saw me?" I smiled and said "Cuz I Didn’t want to scare you." She let out a small laugh then told me the real reason she had been standing there for so long. She had been too scared to walk past the next turn cuz some old men were standing there smoking. She didn’t feel safe so she just waited hoping someone would come along. When she saw me she felt relieved enough to ask for help. I just nodded and kept walking beside her. When we reached the turn I saw them. A few old geezers leaning against the wall smoke curling in the air. Their eyes locked onto her immediately, scanning her from head to toe. It pissed me off so Without thinking I stared straight at them not looking away to assert DOMINANCE . They noticed, Their eyes flickered and just like that they looked away. We walked past them in silence. A few minutes later we reached our neighborhood. She stopped at her gate turned to me and smiled. "Thank you" Then she walked inside. I was kinda Proud that I could help & angry that she even had to feel that fear in the first place cuz she is like a little sister to me.
