I'm 41 and have been TTC for 9 months. One MMC; one CP. I try to look at that as some good news that at least my body can do some of what it needs to do.
I have been tracking the length of my cycles for seven years. I always average 26 days, give or take. So far there have been very few exceptions to that and the exceptions are by a few days, not weeks.
Today I am on day 41 of my cycle. I have no idea why. Speculating it could have something to do with my November CP, but literally who knows. I've been sick, dealing with personal stress, and grief so there are other things (but those other things have existed in my life before with no real effect on my cycle).
First - does anyone have any idea how long this can go on? Like, I can't just quit my period, right? Like there has to be some amount of fluctuation first? In my head, I've already decided menopause is here and I'm trying to sort that out. I have had zero perimenopause symptoms. This is my third cycle tracking with inito and the first two, all of my levels were within reference range, I had one LH surge each time, and ovulation was confirmed.
So now that I've fronted my crazy worries, I'll ask a less extreme question. Since I'm guessing (hoping) I'm not just going straight into menopause, can anything else explain this weird, crazy long cycle other than perimenopause? I'm also scared of the P word and that it will send me further into fertility struggles. I was feeling good and confident that I was just waiting for the right egg, and once I got that my body knows what to do. This new twist has me spiraling a bit. I was supposed to start my baseline bloodwork with an RE this next cycle, so that adds to my stress. They do want me to contact them at six weeks with no period, but I would like to avoid medication inducing it if I can.

2025.01.30 19:42 Thales1000 Powerscaling, our perception and the narrative.
I do like to follow powerscaling discussions a lot, but I think we are trying to discuss about a very subjective thing as if it were a objective stuff.
Why is that subjective? Because is tied to the author perception and that's the closest thing we have about the narrative of something, anything else is very subjective cuz pervades our perception as readers.
First we need to understand the author wants to tell you a story, he is not worried about speed, durability, AP if that's not important to the plot. Wanna a example? Rukia losing to a random hollow in the early chapters. That happened because Kubo needed the narrative to advance with Ichigo, it didn't matter how the powerscaling worked at that time cuz Kubo might not had that well established at that time. Another example? Wonderweiss KO on Ukitake, we all know Ukitake is considered to be on par with Shunsui narratively wise, yet, he got completely blitzed by Wonderweiss... Of course we could go out of our way to say "he got caught by surprise", but a masked Mashiro was doing just fine against Wonderweiss, should I belive a guy that lasted a good amount in a 2v1 against Yamamoto should be completely blitzed by someone who was getting worked by Masked Mashiro? That was just the way Kubo found to take Ukitake out of the narrative, he was a non factor after that in FKT, was that a good way to take a veteran captain out? Not really, but we got deal with reality. There is another example I believe is funny, cuz suddenly Shinji apparently got an upscale after dodging Gerard's attack, even tho he couldn't react to Bambietta vollstandig, the thing about Shinji is, the most important part of his character is tied to Aizen, the same goes for the rest of the vaizards, their character arcs "ended" in FKT and Kubo was clearly lost about what to do with those characters; we could say Shinji developed a relationship with Momo, but the thing is, we couldn't see the process of that and that's okay, but Kubo's approach with the vaizards is lackluster. What does it have to do with Shinji vs Bambietta? Everything! The main reason is because Kubo needed to finish something he started at the same arc, which was Komamura's arc, having his bankai stolen, going through a training arc with a feeling of revenge... Komamura was the protagonist there since the begining and Bambietta taking Shinji out was just the way Kubo found to give the dog his conclusion as a character, was that the best decision? I'm not sure, but I can say that for everything in life... We know releasing a manga weekly is not something easy to do.
Shinji is a character that by logic could solo most captains imo, even against Shunsui he could have a shot, but that is a powerscaler logic, in Kubo's mind, that character is not like that and that's okay, Kubo is not a powerscaler and his priority is his plot. Do I think he should give his broken abilities palpable weaknesses? Hell yeah, then let's go and talk about it.
The problem starts with bleach power system, which is not a problem itself, but we it comes to powerscaling discussion, I see a problem that is usually overlooked. Byakuya has senbonzakura, right? We know senbonzakura will never burn the enemy or become a log of wood bacuse senbonzakura is a very objective ability, we know what it does, we know it's limitations and we know its weaknesses, but sometimes Kubo put himself into a dead end.
In bleach we have Almighty, Kyoka Suigetsu, The Visionary, The Balance, The Antithesis, Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami no Tsuji, Hougyoku, The Miracle, Kurotsuchi Mayuri, Urahara Kisuke.
These very abstract abilities I call narrative based abilities, because they all have something in common: The ability itself doesn't have a weakness. For example, Kubo didn't define what can be balanced and what cannot, the limits are not clear and this create a few issues the ability can't be used at their full potential because the story would end and the way Kubo is gonna potray those abilities is gonna be usually lackluster.
Stated by Kubo himself through Aizen, Aizen can make the opponent hallucinate about anything, yet, FKT happened, we had plenty of battles,, Aizen lost his espadas and lost the battle. Can we all agree FKT and it's battle shouldn't even happen? Aizen could make himself look like Yamamoto and stab the other captains while Yamamoto himself would have no idea about whats going on and here we go back to the previous point I brought up, logic doesn't matter cuz the narrative and aestetics are more important. I usually go with Yamamoto vs Aizen example for this one, why is Aizen KS weaker than Yamamoto RJJ if he could behead Yamamoto instead of stabbing the oldman's belly? Aizen is weaker cuz Kubo said so, and he didn't need to justify himself for that one, we just gotta accept that an move one, KS is just Kawarimi no Jutsu cuz it's easier for Kubo to show it that way and he decides when it's gonna be kawarimi or not Those abstracts abilities + Urahara and Mayuri are just devices for the plot, they fullfill the plot's needs at a certain point. That's why Gremmy didn't implode Zaraki with visionary, that's why Aizen didn't make what I said in FKT, that's why Haschwalth didn't used the balance against Tenjiro and any factor in that fight could be considered luck or the lack of it... The authors hand is visible at handling these abilities because their only real limitation is Kubo writting.

I have a new MSI board and I wonder what that 8 pin connector at the bottom is. It's called PCIe Supplemental power on the website, but I'm not sure what it is and how to connect it. I guess it's optional since I had my PC running without it, but for what is it? Additional power for the PCIe slots would be my guess... And how do you connect it? My guess would be with your PSU using one of the 8 pin cables.

 | Hello guys, Today I was flying in strong wind, but nothing I haven’t done before. Twice the left rear propeller stopped mid air causing instability and a near miss right in front of me. The drone did a backflip ! Do you thing a vertical wind gust can cause such instability and stop a propeller, or I might have a mechanical issue ? The drone flew 38h/400km up to date.
