So to mix things up a bit, I tried something new.. I made a house rule that I could only pick Cultures who had a unique quarter that was based on food.. so the olmecs and Khymer counted. I was playing on Humankind level, 9 players, 3 continents. Took me 2 tries to win.. I might try to redo this with only money and only science cultures too.
It makes for an interesting game. Forces you to play cultures that you don't normally play. For example, taking the Swahli in the third era is a popular choice, because if you have enough coastline, you basically never have to worry about stability for the rest of the game..

2024.12.01 05:00 No_Steak_1138 Am I cooked if I don’t take AP physics
I’m a junior who’s planning on majoring in biochem and minoring in French (premed track). Senior year I’m for sure take these APs: Calc BC, French, Chem, and Lit. The only issue is I can only take a total of 5 classes. I can take either AP Research (what I really want to take) or AP Physics 1 (what I probably should take).
Is it bad if I don’t take AP Physics in hs as a stem major? I really want to take AP research and just do (on-level) physics later in the year. AP Physics 1 is insanely hard at my school bc you basically have to learn it on your own, and it’s known to be a GPA killer. I don’t want to ruin my chances at top programs (eg Brown PLME) by not take AP Physics though…What should I do? I’m talking to my counselor abt it next month but I want as many opinions as possible. Thanks 🙏

2024.12.01 05:00 KindBatConsumer Modafinil giving me allergy vibes.
I found out modafinil bumps up histamine levels, but I didn't know that when I first started taking it. For a couple of days, I was just sitting there, totally confused about why my nasal passages were suddenly swollen, giving me killer headaches and making me super sensitive to light. Now I get that my long-standing issues stem from sinus problems, so at least I can talk to a doctor about it. Still, I wish I could try modafinil without all these annoying side effects. Anyone else have bad sinus reactions to it?

He randomly messaged me asking if I wanted a large rat then sent a picture of the cutest rat stuffed animal I've ever seen. He then sent another picture of him holding two of them so we could have matching ones and "if we hold their hands at the same time it's like we're holding hands".
I am an adult, I do adult things, I am an adult who almost cried at my partner buying us matching rats.
