I want to start off by saying there is an older post from a few years back about this but I wanted to refresh one after going down the rabbit hole on it. It made me realize that there are a lot of folks out there just like me, and I wanted some fresh advice. I’m a 30 (M) Married with 2 kids and I have dealt with near crippling ADHD my whole life. Diagnosed as a kid and chose not to seek medication because I didn’t want to change personality wise etc. I have spent most of my adult life after high school jumping from job to job back and forth trying to figure out what I want to do that is 1. Going to support my family, and 2. Fulfill the constant stimulation I need. I’ve worked almost every job imaginable my resume is laughable at the amount of jobs and the short lengths I was there. My family and friends all give me hell about it which doesn’t help. Once the new wears off, I understand the systems, know the people etc, I get burnt out quick and lose all desire to be there. I currently have a very high paying job in the energy field with top notch benefits and retirement, but I spend most days in front of a large desk with 16 screens monitoring gas turbines for energy production. (Homer Simpson) It is super high stress with ever changing hours. Meetings every week, corporate changes, and mindless refresher training. These are all the things that drive someone like me crazy. These only career I have ever been consistently interested in is Barbering. The only problem with that is, from the time I was interested in it until now, I haven’t been able to financially quit working to pursue a classroom style class for the time frame needed to get licensed. My wife doesn’t make enough to support our family and bills alone.
That being said does anyone have any insight on the types of jobs for someone like me? Something I can merge into without having to go back to school? Or ways to get into my dream job will trying to still provide for my family.

2025.01.23 16:40 CapitalDrop1082 Long exchange process, now it's out of stock, what's next?
After buying these rings for my daughters for Christmas they both had to exchange them for bigger sizes. They were shipped back to The Netherlands and were received there on Jan 2. It took 2 weeks and 3 email requests (unfortunate that the only way to contact them is through the chat bot) to finally get it processed. The one ring was shipped out in a couple days but the other one is now out of stock. Does anyone know if more stock of the Gen 3 will be produced since the Gen 4 has been out since Oct? Is my only option to spend even more money and have to upgrade to the Gen 4?

All my records are sealed everything is up to date and I want to apply for my passport. I don't need to change the gender marker but It asks for previous names used. Given the current administration I'm hoping to make my transition on paper a thing of the past and I do not wish to add my previous name. Just got my Viwoods Paper AI today and comparing it to the Boox Air 4c, deciding which one to keep. I've updated the Viwoods to the latest OS, but am finding that the touch responsiveness is very hit or miss. When clicking links nothing happens, have to really press hard on the screen.
Anyone else experiencing those issues? Also on recommendations on pens, I find the Viwoods to be rather cheap and rattly.
Very impressed with the hardware, though. Fantastic machine, hopefully the software catches up.

Hi guys,
I'm trying to recreate with boostrap a page structure I've seen on a wordpress template. You can see it here:

As you can see, the left half of the page is split into two 25% blocks (with height being 100% of the page). The first block is the menu on the left and the second block is a portfolio item with a background video.
The right half of the page is a scrollable portfolio with simple portfolio items. The horizontal size of this section is 50%, and it's the only scrollabe section of the page.
If you see it on mobile the menu collapse into a mobile menu with a black navbar, and only the portfolio items are showing.
I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to achieve this with bootstrap.

Hey there, firstly I wanna say I think o1 is insane, its ability to understand what you want out of your prompt is noticeably superior to o1 mini and 4o, but with plus you only get 50 messages, bit of a whim but has anyone experimented if you keep editing the same message does it count as a new message. Could I put words to how much I hated what you had just done to me? I had been safe - at the very least I had been comfortable. My father was one of the most powerful warlords of our area, and likely the world, having a vast fief, greenhouses, servants, everything.
Least the radiation was gone, so when you pulled me from my house and over the walls into the barren fields, the fact I was wearing just my nightgown was no impediment to my survival.
Of course, the thing that would be was the fact you pulled me onto your old, broken-down car, and began to drive into the untamed and unknown wilds - without a plan to your mind, it seemed.
Historical:
I suppose I had made it rather too easy to be kidnapped. The thought of pirates breaching my father’s great harbour - the heart of our Kingdom’s commerce, and the vast expanse of blue water over which my window looked - was nigh impossible.
Of course, I had never considered the possibility of a pirate stupid and poor enough to man a small enough boat that it required but a single operator. Or of one stupid enough to swim ashore at midnight, throw up a ladder twenty feet, and force me from my bed, at sword point, in just my sheer nightgown.
Of course, now that we were back aboard your ship, heading for clear blue waters, both soaking wet, I sat rather imperiously at one end of your boat (there was no chance I would call such a thing a ship) groaning and complaining over your stupidity. After all, who had ever even considered such an idiotic plan as to kidnap the heiress to one of Europe’s richest kingdoms, and then to run away to the ocean with her, without hope for ransom.
God, I hope you know what you’re doing.

- I am a detailed and literate RPer
- I prefer a split of 80/20 story/smut or higher
