I'm hearing things

2025.01.24 14:54 Dizzy_Possible_3557 I'm hearing things

Recently, I (16f) have started to hear things. Nothing big, just people wispering my name at random times of the day, sometime screaming it in the distance. It was nothing big except a few things (including feeling a tap on my shoulder when I was totally alone). It all came to a breaking point when one day, I was with 3 of my friends smoking outside, I heared a bunch of people screaming "Hey watch out" and when I turned my head I saw a police car coming our way. Later my friends and I started walking to go to class and I said "good thing those people screamed" and my friends just looked at me weird and told me we had been alone and they didn't hear anything.
So it felt pretty weird but nothing happened in a few months and I was starting to feel like everything was fine but recently I started to feel like nothing was, I would forget small interactions and question if it was real or not because nothing FEELS real. I also feel like I ambeing watched all the time but I had been feeling this way for a long time now. I thought it was just anxiety but I'm afraid it's more than that. Anyways, thanks for reading my little rant, it's probably nothing so yeah.

2025.01.24 14:54 mrbrad595 Is numerology true or false?

Numerology is neither definitively true nor false; it largely depends on individual belief systems and perspectives. For some, numerology offers meaningful insights and guidance, while for others, it’s seen as a pseudoscience with no basis in fact.
Numerology, at its core, is the idea that numbers carry specific vibrations and meanings that influence events, personalities, and paths in life. The practice has been around for thousands of years, tracing back to ancient civilizations like the Babylonians, Greeks, and Egyptians. Even the famous mathematician Pythagoras believed that numbers held a deeper significance beyond their mathematical value. This belief has continued to evolve into modern numerology, which uses techniques like life path numbers and destiny numbers to interpret an individual’s journey.
Full Millennial Numerology guide here.
For believers, numerology can feel true because it resonates deeply with their experiences. For example, someone might find that their life path number accurately reflects their personality traits, challenges, and goals. This sense of alignment often leads people to use numerology as a tool for self-discovery or decision-making. It can feel empowering to think that numbers provide a cosmic map to help navigate life’s uncertainties.
However, skeptics often view numerology as false because it lacks empirical evidence and scientific validation. Critics argue that any perceived accuracy in numerology is a result of confirmation bias, where people focus on the aspects that align with their lives while ignoring parts that don’t fit. In this view, numerology’s appeal is similar to horoscopes—it offers generalized statements that could apply to almost anyone, making it feel personal when it’s actually quite broad.
Another point of contention is that numerology relies on arbitrary assignments of meaning. For instance, the idea that a specific number represents creativity or leadership isn’t based on any measurable or universally accepted principle. It’s more of a symbolic system, which is why its interpretations vary across different cultures and practitioners.
That said, the subjective value of numerology shouldn’t be dismissed. Even if it isn’t scientifically “true,” it can still hold emotional or psychological truth for individuals. Engaging with numerology might help someone reflect on their life, uncover patterns, or feel a deeper connection to the universe. It can act as a framework for introspection, much like other spiritual or symbolic systems.
Ultimately, whether numerology is true or false depends on what you’re looking for. If you need empirical evidence and logical proof, numerology might not hold up. But if you’re open to symbolic meaning and intuitive insight, it can be a valuable tool. The beauty of numerology is that it doesn’t demand belief—it’s there for those who find it useful or inspiring.
In the end, numerology’s significance lies in its ability to connect people to something greater, whether that’s a sense of purpose, a feeling of order in chaos, or simply a way to explore their own lives. It’s less about proving it true or false and more about how it resonates with the individual. If it brings you comfort, clarity, or inspiration, that might be the truest measure of its worth.

The bible mentions how the earth was created first before the stars and the sun. But I guess when I google search, The star age is greater than the earth. i saw one star with 13 bullion years of age when earth is only 4.5 billion years old. Is genesis order of creation wrong? If it is can the bible be trusted? thoughts?

2025.01.24 14:54 yummy_burrito Housing is not THAT expensive in North America.

Referring to Canada and USA.
It is expensive but it's expensive everywhere. I just looked at the prices of houses in African countries and it's pretty much the same.
You pay for what you get - including safety, security and freedom. Yes, housing is expensive in Toronto and New York.....but nobody is forcing people to live there. Even still, once you get outside of the city center it gets more affordable.
Lots of my friends in Canada bought houses before the age of 24. They just live outside of the city.
