Hi! Im a trans woman and am a little worried HRT isnt working for me or I have done something wrong.
I have been on HRT for about 18 months with varying dosage, mostly on 200mg spiro and 4mg estradiol valerate. My most recent dose change after a blood test is:
oestradiol: 568 pmo/L
Testosterone: 8.32 nmol/L
You can see images of development in another post on my profile but basically besides some minor breast development, not much at all has changed for me. I am very worried est over fur miche or whatever
any advice would be splendid!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my success story. In my first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with IC, had a pessary placed at 30 weeks, was on strict bed rest, had multiple hospital stays, and received atosiban to prevent preterm labor.. I wanted a calmer experience in my second pregnancy, so around 20 weeks I asked my doctor for a pessary. Ultimately, the pessary was placed at 24 weeks after my cervix shortened from 3.5cm to 2.6cm in two weeks. These aren't bad measurements, but my cervix tends to shorten and open in the early third trimester. In addition to the pessary, we introduced vaginal progesterone and R-ALA orally at a dose of 600-800 mg per day. From the second trimester onwards, I experienced Braxton-Hicks contractions daily, several times an hour. I was taking things easy but was not on strict bed rest. At 36w6d, my pessary was removed, and after that, I had regular contractions, so I was kept in the hospital. I spent 4 days in the hospital experiencing several episodes of strong contractions. My cervix was checked many times to monitor labor progress, but it remained at 1cm in length and 2cm dilated, tilted toward the sacrum, and formed, so I was eventually sent home at 37w4d. My daughter’s head is low, but the cervix isn't ready for labor yet, and even strong contractions aren't affecting it. The doctors explained that after a pessary, a scar forms on the cervix, which needs time to mature, but I’m convinced that R-ALA played a role, as in my previous pregnancy, despite progesterone and a pessary, my cervix dilated with painless contractions. I’m so happy that we’ve managed to carry the pregnancy to term, and what’s more, there’s a chance that my daughter will stay in the womb a little longer. I’m grateful to my doctor for their open-mindedness and care. Moms with pessaries, everything will be fine! I urge you to look into the research on ALA acids and fight for their supplementation. I'm pretty good at figuring things out so I'm not worried about it being too technical, and willing to take my time learning to use it. Flew business class from LAX to DFW then DFW to BOG on AA. Chose business for obvious reasons but also thought the EQM for Mileage Plan was supposed to be simpler. Booked through AA. Got 50% EQM on the first leg and 100% EQM on the second when it says its listed as 125% EQM for business when booked on the partner website not on AS. Still don’t know why there’s no options to book any partner flights to South America on AS’s website but you can if booked with miles. I would have earned more EQM using my miles than paying cash. Weird.
