My wife is a Nurse in a childrens ward, they had a paediatrician come to the end of her contract. Was told she is too expensive and then instead hired a foreign worker for cheaper.
My wife said this person has no knowledge of our system and has been hard to work with. Putting extra stress on Nurses allready short staffed.
I assumed the hire freeze\low hiring was done to reduce workers and costs , but its all about forcing us to accept lower wages and compete with immigrants.

2025.01.29 05:45 shartley123 Will a pickle juice-soaked towel make my other clothes smell if I put them in the same washer?
Earlier I dropped a jar of pickles (a plastic jar, thank god) and I used a towel to soak up about 90% of the pickle juice off my kitchen floor. I’m assuming it’ll wash out of my towel just fine in the washer, but part of me is paranoid that the vinegar’s acidity or something will make my other clothes reek of pickles. I don’t have an in-unit washer either, so I wouldn’t really be able to wash it alone
