I just noticed that my Lab Coins Spent on the Stats page is incorrect. Showing 355T total, whereas I have done 2 card mastery labs and finished shatter shards which should put my true value more than 10x that. Anyone else noticed this?

In the news, there was a story about a mother being jailed for the fact that her children burned as she went shopping. I have no idea how long she was away, or how old were the children, but it got me thinking, about the legality of leaving children alone at home, and what age this is appropriate.
Apparently my gradmother used to leave my mother alone in the flat when she was quite young for a short while in the 60s. My own mother left me at least once for 30 minutes when I was maybe 5 or 6, to go to the shop (this was in the late 80s.) I remember being instructed to not answer the door and to look at the clock - she showed me where the clock arms would be, when she got back.
I did not grow up in the UK - and I wonder how common this sort of thing was here, or if it was always a crime.

2025.01.24 14:52 randos_0 I just turned 16, what does it feel like to be old?
I first got cancer when I was 14, but after almost a year I got it again. I recently turned 16, and I'm really curious to know what it feels like to be old, to be 30+ or even 60+? I've seen many friends that are around my age pass away because of cancer, even babies, toddlers and children. I've noticed how many people have mentioned having children and spouses/partners in their lives, how they can go to places they want themselves, buy things using their own money, or even achieving their dreams. Essentially I just want to know what being old feels like, thank you! ☺️
Note: I'm not religious, I love it when people are praying for me out of the kindness of their hearts, but please don't say anything similar to "You have to pray it is the only way to live".

I see some developers use mutableStateOf in the ViewModel instead of StateFlows. Suppose we have to switch back to a view system or another framework, then compose's state wouldn't be useful. Also, I feel like it's somehow wrong when people use it this way. I’ve seen many articles, some big YouTubers also use it, and I saw a discussion on this on LinkedIn.
What do you guys think about this?

Hey, Ich wurde vor 2 Tagen mit ADHS Diagnostiziert und habe von meinem Arzt einen Dosis Plan bekommen.
Ich solle es so machen:
Woche 1: jeden Tag 1x 10mg Medikinet retard
Woche 2: jeden Tag 1x 20mg Medikinet retard
Woche 3: jeden Tag 1x 30mg Medikinet retard
Woche 4: jeden Tag 1x 40mg Medikinet retard
Ich habe nun nach zwei Tagen 10 mg fast nichts gespürt außer ein kleines komisches Gefühl, gegen meine ADHS Symptome hilft es nicht sehr viel.
Ich wollte nun fragen ob es schlimm ist wenn ich einfach jetzt schon mit der zweiten Woche anfange also auf 20 mg hoch stocke um zu schauen ob es damit besser wird oder ob ich mich lieber an den Dosis Plan meines Arztes halten sollte und noch 5 Tage warten sollte bis wirklich die zweite Woche anfängt?
Was ist eure Meinung dazu?

I've been indecisive my whole life. I'm trying to be better, but it's hard lol
My partner (29M) and I (29F) are a Japanese-Filipino couple living in Japan. He's half-Filipino and we met back in college in the Philippines. Got engaged last September after 7 years together, and we just registered our marriage here in Japan on 12/12/24 (ganda ng date eh hahaha)
Ever since getting engaged my sisters have been bugging me to start wedding planning (not in an annoying way!) but as a procrastinator and indecisive girlie who's living abroad trying to plan a wedding in Manila... it is HARD.
At least I've got the venue sorted - already sent the downpayment for our garden wedding in Dec 2025! But... that's literally it lol. I've downloaded so many wedding planning checklists but I'm just getting stunlocked. My partner's doing his part (I tell him what to do, he does it xD) so I'm not totally alone in this. And my sisters are such a big help - one did the ocular of our target venues, while my other sister (who's also abroad) has been researching possible motifs and stuff.
I also considered just hiring a full wedding coordinator, but their fees range from 120k to 150k pesos. I feel like I should just DIY and spend that money elsewhere (I know they would be a big help especially since I'm out of the country, but idk)
Today, I reached out to the MUA I wanted (who was also the wedding MUA for two of my friends and one acquaintance) but she was already booked for our date. I felt so defeated and worried that all other vendors I want to contact might already be booked. And I don't even have a concrete vendor checklist yet! I'm feeling sooo overwhelmed.
I created a Notion page earlier and decided to add a countdown widget... which then showed me that there's only 10 months left before the wedding. Here I was thinking I still had at least a year for planning LMAO how time flies 💀
Was planning a December 2025 wedding the wrong choice? T_T My dream was to get married in Caleruega Church, but we just don't have the bandwidth to prepare for all the shenanigans a church wedding requires right now. Then I wanted a different venue, but I settled on our second choice (which is actually my partner's first choice). My partner told me not to worry about the price if I reaaally want the other venue, but as the daughter of an Ilocana, I can't justify spending THAT much just for the venue alone!

2025.01.24 14:52 FlushedButterfly How do I get over not being able to sleep well because I can't get over being too sentence of the idea of being touched via my armpit?
When I was younger a guy who was bullying me at the time had tickled my armpit to make ne feel uncomfortable and since then I've been able to really make him sleep the way I want to.
Since everytime I sleep with my armpit not covered I instantly get reminded of that feeling.
